Snowbird and a Foot Cozy

A very good friend of mine wanted a quilt made for her future mother-in-law.  I was so elated to make one for her, this being the 2nd quilt I've made for her.

She decided upon the same quilt/fabric I did for my SIL.  She also came up with the initial idea of having a foot cozy, to put your feet in when you are snuggling with your quilt.  We did this on this quilt a while back.  I love the idea, completely.  It's just kind of a pain to work around honestly.    Well, I mean, it's not really THAT big of a deal, I'm just a whiner sometimes.

BUT, it's cute and functional.  And we all love cute/functional things. Right?

I found the perfect fleece, to coordinate with the blues and oranges.  And Birds!!   Hooray! Birds are in the fabric on the front.  Win Win.

She also requested a block with the Snowbird logo.  Her man works at Snowbird, so to have this little piece of him incorporated into the quilt for his mama is a great idea. Right?  For those of you who are not locals, Snowbird is our local famous ski resort.  You know, Utah is famous for snow...it says so on our license plates. Haha.

Sorry for the inside shots...Utah's weather has been a little bipolar lately.  We had a LOVELY week of spring weather, the kids put on flip flops, played outside all day, then WAM...sorry!  It was super windy, near tornado weather I swear, then snow.  :(  So, we are inside today, not taking pictures outdoors because of the wind and snow!

I delivered this quilt yesterday and it got much love.  So, I'm pretty fairly certain that it's new owner will love it too, but not as much as she will love her future daughter-in-law.
