Posy Park

Oh, that Aneela Hoey has done it to me again.  I am not sure why, but when Posy came out, I glanced at it and walked away.  Then I had the chance to see it and play with it up front and personal.  Hello, this is adorable fabric.  I'm not sure why it didn't catch my eye the first time I saw it.

I didn't know what to do with it though.  I got a FQ bundle and just stared at it.  Waiting for inspiration to strike.  Lately I've just been making up patterns as I go...this is one of those examples.

Then I ran out of the cream print with the little girls reading.   I nearly cried.  I couldn't find anywhere online that had it and certainly none of my LQS had it....until I drove way past my boundaries of where I normally shop, and found some, in the back tucked away, patiently waiting for me.  I snatched it up and ran as some ladies were hovering over it.  Too bad ladies!  ;)

I also snatched up the mint green print.  ♥  I think it's my favorite.

Gratuitous binding shot

I love how it turned out and I am also glad my LQS had the prints, waiting just for me.  ♥

  1. Oh I love this quilt! I haven't cut, design and sewn a quilt on a whim but I have been known to do that with other projects ;) Glad you were able to find the extra yardage that you needed! I have extra charm squares that are calling "make me into a baby quilt" Posy is such a wonderful combo of colors! My little E loves her bunny quilt!

  4. A lovely quilt! That is a lovely line isn't it, although I have to admit, I too didn't 'snap it up' in the same way I did Walk in the Woods. But now I've seen it in a quilt it really is adorable! We have very similar tastes, as you know and you've done a great job :-))
