Peek-A-Boo, I see you!

EEEK!  This is finished.
Well, it's been finished but Mother Nature decided it really wasn't spring
and granted us more snow...which I'm pretty sure I didn't ask for.

This quilt was done with the 'Looking In' pattern from the most talented Allison of Cluck Cluck Sew.
She is awesome...I had a question on another pattern I've been trying to work on, the Pow Wow pattern and I emailed her and she wrote me right back!  Super awesome!
Of note:  I SUCK at reading patterns.  I don't have the gift to understand patterns and/or follow ANY directions.  Haha.

I used a super soft pink cuddle fabric.
This melts against you, like sleeping under a pink magical cloud of awesome-ness.
Although, to be honest...I HATE sewing with minky and cuddle fabric.
It drives me mad.
But, we got through it...barely.
I will do a short tutorial later on HOW I suffered through this and some tips I found to help. :)
That's for you Kristy!
(Kristy says she looks at my blog, but we'll see) hahaha.

So cute - the binding is a pink/white checkered print.

There are several novelty fabrics inside the 'windows'.  I love the darker pink with the bunnies and bears.
Super fun for I-Spy.

  1. This is really darling - I love all the pink, light, dark and prints. I'm not really into pink but this is so cute. I think it's changing my mind about pink. And I want to hear more about the tips on quilting minky. That would be a big help.

  7. What a fun girly quilt for a little one. I can imagine the minky is a beast to work with - I am right now working with slippery sheer fabrics for a princess outfit and keep asking myself - WHY?! But we do it because we must! :)

  9. I'm about to back a quilt in minky, so I could use all the tips I can get. I have this feeling it's going to be an awful experience. Love this, though! So fun!
